Danger High Voltage consists of 6 reels, 4 rows and thereby 4.096 ways to win. The backdrop is designed to emulate a 70’s Disco stage which is a bit weird, since the song by Electric Six is more of a rock song although there is a bit of Disco sounds in it, but in the end, it doesn’t matter because it doesn’t affect the gameplay negatively as it is engaging and well designed. Now we talked a bit about the audio side of the slot, let’s talk about the visual. Although it is well designed and engaging, it is also a bit confusing. I mean, what does Tacos have to do with disco and rock music? It is a bit of an odd mix, but somehow it works, because Danger High Voltage is a thrilling and action-packed video slot.

The symbols consist of, beside Taco’s, the low value 9-A royals, bells, and disco balls. The most valuable symbol is the “Day of the Dead” skull that is worth 25x the stake. The skull also pays out when 2 of them land, as the only symbol in the game. The bets range from 20 p/c and up to £/€40 per spin and the RTP is at 95.67% which is a bit lower than many of the other popular online video slots. As mentioned, the slot is designed with a Disco theme, and it consists of 6 reels with 4 rows. 2x Free Spins feature: Danger High Voltage has 2 Free Spin features. To play either, the player needs to land 3 or more of the “My Desire” scatter symbols. They don’t have to be connected but can be anywhere on the reels. 3-6 of these symbols will give a reward of 6-100x the player stake.

Gates of Hell Free Spins feature: awards the player 7 free spins and starts with a symbol being randomly chosen from the paytable. When the symbol then appears at reels 2-5 it changes into a Sticky Wild and will remain in the same place during the rest of the feature. If the player experiences the reel being covered by 4 Sticky Wilds, they will be awarded 3 more free spins. The maximum of free spins is 19.

High Voltage Free Spins feature: awards the player 15 free spins because of the High Voltage Wild. This symbol also appears on reels 2-5 and will block out the entire reel when it appears. This symbol is different from the others because it also comes with a multiplier of x11, x22, x33, x44, x55, or x66 when activated. This online video slot offers great fun and plenty of chances to win big, but to be fair, there are a couple of things that need to be addressed.  Danger High Voltage has some confusing elements to it, which can be a bit annoying, but overall, it lives up to the legacy of the infamous “Danger! High Voltage” song by Electric Six, by being electrifying, action-packed, and full of life. Despite being a weird mix of different styles and symbols, this retro video slot still manages to create an atmosphere and an entertaining game, and when all comes to all. A big winner will care less about the visual design, and/or the soundtrack, but more on getting the highest possible win when playing this online video slot. With that being said, this is not a slot for everyone. Not everybody is down with Disco and understands the references and might even be turned off by it. Some might also be puzzled over the weird combinations between “Day of the Dead” skulls, Taco’s, and glittering disco balls, but there will definitely be a crowd, big or small, that will absolutely love this game.
